Mobile phones have become a daily part of our life.SMS is one of the economical means of communication.Sending and receiving SMS day in and day out has become a normal activity in people’s life. We would love to cherish SMS from loved ones and important SMS by having them saved in our mobile phones.Instead of saving them in mobile’s memory or its external memory and increasing the overload on them we could save it to our PC and it also provides us with a option to back it up online once it’s in the system.

In this post lets see how to backup sms messages from mobile phones to system.We will use NOKIA mobile as an example and see how its
done.

Steps to be followed to backup sms from mobile to your pc

1.Download Nokia PC Suite after selecting your appropriate mobile model.

2.Install the software and connect your mobile via infrared or blue tooth or Data Cable.

3.Run Nokia PC Suite and click Messages Icon

4.Nokia Communication Center will be launched.
Select the SMS you want using mouse ,select multiple sms messsages by holding down the CTRL key.

5.Now go to click File-> Export .

6.Give a name to the file and Save it.

Now your sms is saved from your mobile to PC/Computer.Done!


To retrieve back the saved sms from Pc to mobile

1.Select Archive then Click File ->Import and select the saved backup file.

2.Now all Saved sms with be loaded back to your mobile you can find them under Saved Items in your mobile.Done!
