How to use Different Theme for Each Category in Wordpress

In your blog, you may cover various categories from Tech to Fun stuffs.

It would be good if you can give a different look and feel for the categories reflecting its type.Reflecting a look which is related to the category helps reader to get a feel as if they switched over to some other site but in fact they are in your same site but only the looks had changed.Coupled with this if you use Category to Sub Domain Converter Plugin it will give an all new feel will also be easy for the user to remember the URL easily.

GYS Themed Categories

Themed-categories Plugin

In case of GYS Themed Categories plugin:

Go to the required category :

Example:

http://yoursite.com/wp-admin/categories.php?action=edit&cat_ID=5

You will find a Combo list Box

themed category

Select the required Theme and Update the Category.

Done!

I still confuse how this plugin functionality. So it make custom or apply another themes if we select any single category?

Ganda it allow us to use different themes for different Category ..Upload more then one theme into your site..Using this plugin you can apply required theme for each category…

i installed different themes for each category plugin “themed-categories-23″ but cann’t get themes in drop down box only blank drop down box display.

can you expain in details

heard about this thing for the first time as we can choose diff themes for diff categories. wow thats cool.

but wat about blog loading time ? wont ir get heavy or like that ??? let me know i would like to use it

ohhk then surely i will give it a try.

i m a newbie blogger and have a wp blog. i dont know how to make “Read more” option on the posts of homepage so as the visitors should click on read more option and go to the post page. can u let me know how to do that ?
