The key reason is due to lack of security.Here is one example of that.

This will work only in IE version’s below 7.Its done using JavaScript.

Clipboard stealing:

What you mean by that?

It’s ability to steal your clipboard content.

What can one do stealing the clipboard content?

Some times we are lazy enough to copy the password instead of typing it.This content stays in the clipboard.Suppose if you visit some malicious site that is running this script it can fetch your password from Clipboard and can mail to the concerned person or the site.Its even worse when both user name and password resides in the clipboard.This clearly shows how dangerous it is.So what are you waiting for change to more secure browser like Mozilla,opera.

But its still strange why corporates and Institutions stick on to the worst IE?!:-)

Example of that bug:

First copy something in you clipboard,i mean copy some text and then visit this link with your IE browser.

most people today are writing on browsers and IE…stating it as worse. But in most coperates, the only option is IE. Infact, I had no admin access to install the browser

Ya thats the point i want to make they are still using IE though it as so many draw backs..Wen safe browsers like mozilla are available for free i dont know y dont they try it:)May be too lazy to install ,sticking with IE cos its readily available in windows:)
